A Letter to Crohn’s Disease.

27 04 2011

Dear Crohn’s disease:

By now, you and I are old enemies. We are running out of weapons to use on each other.

Today though, you hit below the belt.

Dear Crohn’s disease: This is my last week teaching my kindergarteners. I want to enjoy every moment. I want some energy so they will remember that part of me, not the exhausted cranky teacher of this week.

I was not ok with you making me vomit my lunch up after work today.

I’m not loving the stomache aches.

I am willing to make a deal.

Would you hold off until next week? Will you let me deal with the emotional trauma of leaving a job that I love right now and deal with you later?

After all, enemies for 12 years. That’s basically saying we’re snarky friends.

Love (Hate),
