My story.

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease when I was eleven. Eleven years after that, I had surgery to remove my colon and rectum and I now have a permanent ileostomy.

I’ve been on more drugs than most people know exist, including 11 years of prednisone. Crohn’s still affects my life, but this ostomy has given me a second chance!

I’m 24 years old. I work with kids. I graduated college, have the most wonderful friends in the world. I travel a little, volunteer, am active, and I have a chronic disease. My family is the best family I could ever dream of.
